Psychodynamic Therapy

Person-Centred Therapy

Person-Centred Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy delves into the unconscious mind, exploring how past experiences and repressed emotions influence one's present thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It's a collaborative process where the therapist guides the client in uncovering deep-rooted issues, resolving inner conflicts, and gaining self-awareness. Through techniques like free association and dream analysis, the therapy aims to unravel the complexities of the psyche, ultimately helping the client achieve greater emotional well-being and personal growth. The empathetic approach fosters a safe, non-judgemental space for clients to confront their vulnerabilities and work towards lasting positive change.

Person-Centred Therapy

Person-Centred Therapy

Person-Centred Therapy

Person-centred therapy, developed by Carl Rogers, is a humanistic approach that views individuals as having an innate drive towards growth, self-actualisation, and becoming fully functioning. It emphasises the therapist's genuine, warm acceptance and empathic understanding of the client's internal frame of reference. The client is seen as the expert, with the therapist offering a non-judgmental, facilitative climate to foster self-exploration and personal growth. By experiencing congruence, unconditional positive regard, and accurate empathic understanding from the therapist, clients can reconnect with their actualising tendency and move towards a more authentic, self-directed life.

Mindfulness Therapy

Person-Centred Therapy

Mindfulness Therapy

Mindfulness therapy involves cultivating a present, non-judgmental awareness of one's thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. It teaches individuals to observe their experiences with openness and acceptance, rather than automatically reacting or suppressing them. Through regular practice of mindfulness techniques like meditation and mindful movement, people learn to disengage from unhelpful thought patterns and develop greater emotional resilience. This empowering approach can alleviate stress, anxiety, and depression while fostering self-compassion and a deeper connection with the present moment. With roots in ancient wisdom traditions, mindfulness offers a gentle yet transformative path towards improved well-being.

ADHD Assessment

ADHD Assessment

Mindfulness Therapy

ADHD assessment is a comprehensive process that aims to identify if an individual meets the criteria for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It typically involves a detailed clinical interview, gathering information from multiple sources like parents or teachers, and administering standardised rating scales . We carefully explore the individual's symptoms, the onset, duration, and impact on various areas of life. We also try to rule out potential alternative explanations before making an accurate diagnosis. Receiving a proper assessment is crucial, as it guides the most appropriate treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.

Our ADHD assessments include an initial consultation to determine the need for further ADHD testing, an ADHD assessment lasting 2.5 to 3 hours which includes administering the CAARS-2, QBCheck and DIVA-5. We provide a diagnostic report and a feedback session to explain our findings.

We have referral relationships with several prescribing partners and are able to refer interested parties to our partners if they are interested in including medication as part of their treatment plan.

EMDR Therapy

ADHD Assessment

EMDR Therapy

EMDR, short for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, is a powerful therapeutic approach used to alleviate distress associated with traumatic memories. It involves the client focusing on disturbing thoughts or images while simultaneously engaging in bilateral eye movements or other forms of rhythmic stimulation. This dual attention process helps the brain process and integrate the traumatic memories in a healthier way, reducing their emotional intensity and vividness. EMDR has proven highly effective in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related issues, allowing individuals to heal from the deep psychological wounds inflicted by adverse life events.

IFS Therapy

ADHD Assessment

EMDR Therapy

IFS therapy, or Internal Family Systems therapy, helps people understand the many parts of themselves. It views the mind as made up of different roles or "parts", each with its own thoughts and feelings. Some parts push us to excel, while others hold pain or fears from the past. IFS teaches people to connect with their core “Self”, a calm and caring inner guide. With this support, people can listen to each part, heal old hurts, and make peace inside. IFS doesn’t judge any part as bad or broken. Every part developed for a reason. This warm, respectful approach gives people space to accept themselves and move toward lasting change.

Schema Therapy

Gottman Method Couples Therapy

Gottman Method Couples Therapy

Schema Therapy is an integrative, evidence-based approach designed to help people identify and change deeply rooted patterns or "schemas" that developed early in life and continue to affect how they think, feel, and behave. These schemas often form in response to unmet emotional needs in childhood and can lead to ongoing difficulties in relationships, self-worth, or coping with stress. Schema Therapy combines elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, attachment theory, and experiential techniques to help clients understand the origins of these patterns, develop healthier ways of thinking and relating, and build a stronger sense of self. It is especially effective for individuals with long-standing emotional issues or personality-based challenges.

Gottman Method Couples Therapy

Gottman Method Couples Therapy

Gottman Method Couples Therapy

Gottman Method Couples Therapy is a research-based approach designed to help couples strengthen their relationship, improve communication, and deepen emotional connection. Developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, this method is grounded in over four decades of scientific research on what makes relationships succeed or fail. Through structured exercises and practical tools, couples learn to manage conflict more constructively, enhance intimacy and friendship, and build shared meaning together. The therapy focuses on fostering mutual respect, understanding, and empathy—helping partners reconnect and create a more resilient, fulfilling relationship.
